"Walking Bader" at Hotel Riederhof

The “Walking Bader” is on his way ... 
... spectacular fund raiser for Africa!
On June 03, 2008 these travelling gentlemen made a stop at the Riederhof. Here they pampered Peter, the manager, with an extraordinary outdoor tub bath, including a good scrub-down and precious oils and herbs.
The profession of travelling bader/barber " originated in the Middle Ages, when monks travelled from village to village in  an ox-drawn cart offering their services.
The present-day hiking “Bader”, along with massage therapists from the Black Forest Bath House have revived   this tradition for a good cause:  to help children in Africa.
They visited us here at Riederhof and not only the bathers   had a great time!
