Museums to visit!

Heritage Museum in Pfunds: open during the summer season Sundays 10:00- 12.00 and Wednesdays 13.30 - Wed 16:30. Contact Mr. Petrasch in Pfunds, Telephone: 06542 / 5474 5938. The museum itself is located in a 14th Century farmstead. The furnishings in the house are original and provide a fascinating insight into the rural culture and lives of the region’s ancestors. The museum received the Museum Award in 2002.
Via Claudia Archaelogical Museum and Documentation Centre
Discover history in one of the oldest and most modern houses containing two museums at Via Claudia Augusta in Fliess. Both museums hold special treasures. 
Fliess Archaeological Museum
Here you can find a burnt offering site dating back to the Bronze and Iron Age, a Roman cult place and a Bronze treasure dating back to the Hallstatt era. 
Via Claudia Augusta Documentation Centre
At
this centre the Roman Road is documented. In the showcases you can see findings of the tabula Peutingeriana, the only preserved Roman road map.

Fortress Museum Nauders

This is the only completely preserved fortress in its original state, built in the first half of the 19th Century. There are 70 rooms, some of which are constructed up to 20 meters deep into the mountain wall. Includes a military museum with weapons, uniforms, equipment and vehicles, which is a permanent exhibition. Traffic over the Reschen Pass from Roman times to the present, presented by the Nauders Model Club

Former sovereign's castle and seat of the court, show-rooms on the second floor of the castle in the same condition as in the 16th century including court offices, Napoleon room, chapel, art gallery. Exhibitions by local artists, concerts, exhibition of agricultural equipment, commercial exhibitions, etc. 
 
St. Anton Ski Museum

The skiing and Heritage Museum in the Arlberg-Kandahar House provides a comprehensive overview of the history of skiing in the Arlberg area, which is well-known as the origin of alpine skiing. The visitor learns interesting facts about the culture, traditions and  development of tourism in this region. 
 
Landeck Castle Museum Gallery
Open from April through October Sundays from 2p.m.- 6p.m.
