| TOUR Information
Hiking Time: 1,5 hours Height difference: 413m Exposition: S, W Lovel: 1+ Start Height: 1.567m Final Height: 1.980m Best Tour Time: December - March |
Character
Easy for beginners or those who want to start over after a longer break. Not a great deal of altitude to overcome, and as a goal you will reach a meadow farm and hut, which is, however, closed in the winter.
Getting there
Coming in from Landeck, turn off the highway at Prutz and drive towards Kaun - Piills. Stay on the road until you reach the parkling lot for the nature park "Feigwasser".
Rise
From here, follow the rise up the hill and then along a bog until you reach the fences. Turn right and soon you'll reach the forest path. Follow it with a few shortcuts through the forest to the Aifner Alpe.
If you feel like you can go a little higher, then continue on in the clearing between the two buildings and continue on towards the Aifner summit. If you go higher than the tree line - beware of avalanches.
