Dog-walking paths

From the hotel, turn left onto the main road as if leaving town. Before the last house on the left-hand side of the street, a path leads up a gentle slope to a Roby Dog station. From here, the path curves around to the right and soon leads up a short climb and into the forest. Near the next Roby Dog station you will rejoin the bitumen, which will take you right back into town.

From the hotel, turn left onto the main road as if leaving town. After the town signpost, follow the gently climbing paved meadow path to the left. After about 400 m, a path leads off to the left into the forest, fairly steep to begin with then comfortably level until it widens into a crossroads and leads back into town. You will get back to the town road near the Capuchin monastery, and then return to the hotel.

From the hotel, turn left onto the main road as if leaving town. After the town signpost, follow the gently climbing paved meadow path to the left to a sign reading "Rodelbahn". You will soon see the signs for "Herrensteig". Follow the wide gravel path onwards and take the left fork – downhill. After a few metres a well-marked narrow climb leads off to your right. This continues into the forest until you head back down towards Ried and the Capuchin monastery in the centre of town. From there you can simply return to the hotel.

Opposite the hotel, head to your right as far as the Gasthof Riederstube. You will then need to cross the river, immediately after the bridge turn left and follow the paved road to the Wollspinnerei Schöpf, where this leads to a gently rising path. Before the next bridge, turn right and go up a short climb to a farmhouse, pass this and follow the road back to the original path shortly before the bridge over the Inn. If you wish to make the walk a little longer, about 300 m after the farmhouse you can take a fork to the left. After the forest playground, the path will lead you back to the bridge over the Inn. From there you can easily return to the hotel.
