Dog walking routes and dog walking service at the Riederhof dog hotel
Fancy a walk?
There are many great walking and dog-walking trails right on the doorstep of the dog hotel Riederhof. Whether early in the morning at six o’clock or late in the evening after a cosy wine at the bar.
In sunshine, drizzle or snow flurries, you can enjoy short 15-minute walks or extended hikes lasting over 1.5 hours. You can find some of the walking routes below with the matching “Komoot tour” to download to your mobile phone. And as a little extra treat, you’ll receive free poo bags from us.
Not in the mood for a walk?
You don’t feel like going for a walk because you want to go skiing or have planned a longer bike tour? That’s great. Then we’ll do the walking for you. We offer the following services for a small fee.
Walk routes at a glance
and for mobile phone download
Walking time 15 minutes, 30 vertical metres, 0.8 km
From the hotel, follow the main road immediately to the left towards the end of the village. Before the last house (to the left of the road), a path leads slightly uphill to a Roby Dog station. Here the path bends to the right and soon leads over a small path into the forest. At the next Roby Dog station, you come back to the tarmac path, which you take to the right back into the village.
Walking time 30 minutes, 50 metres in altitude, 2.5 km
From the hotel, follow the main road to the left towards the end of the village. After the town sign, follow the tarmac meadow path on the left, which climbs slightly. After about 400 metres, a path on the left leads into the forest, initially quite steep, then gently flat, until it widens at the crossroads and leads back into the village. At the Capuchin monastery you come to the local road and back to the hotel.
Walking time 1 hour, 150 metres in altitude, 4.5 km
From the hotel, follow the main road to the left towards the end of the village. After the village sign, follow the tarmac meadow path on the left, which climbs slightly up to the “Rodelbahn” sign. You will also see the “Herrensteig” signs. Follow the wide gravel path uphill and then turn left – downhill. After a few metres, a well-marked narrow path begins on the right. This continues straight ahead in the forest until you descend again towards Ried until you reach the Capuchin monastery in the centre of the village. From there you return to the hotel.
Walking time 1.5 hours, 90 metres in altitude, 5.3 km
Opposite the hotel, keep right until you reach Gasthof Riederstube. Cross the river there, keep left immediately after the bridge and follow the tarmac road to Wollspinnerei Schöpf, which leads into a slightly ascending path. Before another bridge, a small footbridge on the right leads up to a farm, which you pass and then follow the road to the original path just before the Inn bridge. If you want a longer route, you can turn left about 300 metres after the farm. After the forest playground, the path leads back to the Inn bridge. From there you return to the hotel.
